Sustainable for the future

The idea for DETOMASO watches originated during a road trip through the beautiful landscapes, idyllic coastal towns, and vibrant cities of Italy. It was one of those ideas generated by the sense of freedom that only such a journey can provide. Nothing is quite as thrilling as the open road and the unknown experiences that await in the distance.

The DNA of DETOMASO is stamped with a fascination for landscapes and nature. It therefore makes perfect sense that we treat Earth and its inhabitants with respect. We're committed to making our time on the planet more conscious and sustainable. It's a long road ahead, but we've already begun to initiate and implement changes to ensure the world remains a diverse and wonderful place.

Our motivation

LIVE THE MOMENTUM - The philosophy of DETOMASO is based on positivity, spontaneity, and enjoyment. However, as much as we like to live in the moment, we must also think of the enjoyment of future generations and our impact on the environment. The DETOMASO concept is grounded in a whole new awareness of time and the desire to make the world a better place. It's this awareness that drives us to continually improve every aspect of our company and products.

Our missions

Environmental protection and social responsibility are at the core of the DETOMASO concept. In other words, we strive to make our products and actions more sustainable. The road is long, but every little step counts. And we're definitely not lacking in motivation. We've therefore started by outlining four main missions. Some have already been introduced, while others need a little more time. By 2025, we hope to fulfill all these missions - and we'd love your help!

Climate neutrality

Quality and timeless design are our top priorities. Our goal is to create long-lasting products that people love to wear, again and again. Enjoy the style and comfort of our watches with a good conscience: Our products are certified by ClimatePartner as 100% climate-neutral. We support a number of certified ClimatePartner projects. Social responsibility

It takes many production processes - and even more hands - to manufacture our high-quality products. We strive for all work at our production sites to be done with the utmost respect for people and the environment. We have therefore teamed up with amfori, an international association that promotes transparent and sustainable trade. Our goal is to ensure that their criteria with regard to fair and environmentally-friendly production processes are met at all our production sites.

Plastic upcycling

One of the biggest problems facing the world today is the massive amount of plastic waste produced on a daily basis. The improper disposal of this waste is a major threat to the environment. One example: far too often, plastic waste ends up in our oceans. This endangers marine life and habitats, and ultimately harms humans and leads to climate change. We want to help stop the flood of plastic.

Giving back

In 2023, we established a long-term partnership with Send a Smile e.V. This nonprofit organization is dedicated to providing a brighter future for street children in Ghana. Through the "Smile House" project, the first initiative we've realized together, 48 children receive care, regular meals, medical attention, and access to education and recreational activities.
