    I've bought it to a Voltre with stainless steel strap, with the intention to change the bracelets depending on I wear it in work time with a blazer or on the weekend with a polo shirt. Looks very cool, I love that, so I did not regret the purchase. Absolutely recommended to the minty blue dialed Voltre.

Which strap material offers the highest durability?

Stainless steel is the strongest choice when maximum durability is the priority. It handles water, sweat, and everyday impact very well. Each material has its own strengths, though: Textile is flexible and resistant to tearing, mesh combines flexibility with breathability, while Leather offers good natural resilience when properly cared for. reTPU is lightweight, flexible, and resistant to everyday moisture, making it a practical option for everyday wear.

Which strap material is best for sensitive skin?

All Detomaso straps are designed with everyday comfort in mind. Our stainless steel and mesh straps are made from stainless steel 316L and are allergy-neutral and nickel-free. leather and textile provide a softer, lightweight feel and are paired with nickel-free buckles. reTPU is also lightweight, soft, and flexible, making it a comfortable option for everyday wear.

Can I wear my reTPU strap while running or working out?

Yes, reTPU is lightweight, flexible, and resistant to sweat and moisture, so it is well suited to active use. After heavier workouts, we recommend cleaning the strap to remove sweat and dirt.

Keep in mind that the watch head has its own care requirements: quartz watches are generally resistant to movement such as jogging or running, while we recommend avoiding jogging with automatic watches because repeated shocks and vibrations can affect their internal components.

For high-impact sports or activities where the case or glass could be heavily scratched or shattered, it is best to remove the watch.

Can I swim with a reTPU strap in a pool or the ocean?

The reTPU strap itself handles water well, but we recommend avoiding swimming with watches rated at 5 ATM or 10 ATM. Swimming creates dynamic water pressure that can put additional stress on the watch's seals. Chlorine and saltwater can also affect the gaskets over time, so always rinse the watch with fresh water after exposure.

Is a reTPU strap suitable for the sauna?

reTPU itself is not significantly affected by normal heat and humidity, but the watch head is more sensitive to extreme conditions. High temperatures and rapid temperature changes can affect the seals and allow moisture to enter the watch. For this reason, we recommend taking the watch off before entering a sauna.

How should I clean my reTPU strap?

For everyday care, rinse the strap with fresh water after heavy exposure to sweat, chlorine, or saltwater. For a more thorough clean, use warm water with a small amount of mild dish soap and gently clean the strap with a soft-bristled toothbrush. Rinse thoroughly and dry the strap with a soft microfiber cloth.

What should I do if my reTPU strap looks discoloured over time?

reTPU does not normally change color permanently, but skin oils, lotions, and dirt can build up on the surface and make it look dull or darker. Clean the strap with warm water and mild soap, then dry it with a soft microfiber cloth. Regular cleaning helps maintain its original appearance.

Can I adjust the length of my reTPU strap myself?

Yes. reTPU straps with a traditional buckle-and-hole system can be adjusted at home by choosing the hole that provides the most comfortable fit. Depending on the specific strap design, the adjustment method may vary.

Are all Detomaso straps compatible with every watch?

Not every strap fits every watch. Strap compatibility depends on the correct width and, in some cases, the specific connection mechanism of the watch. Most straps are selected according to the required width, such as 20 mm or 22 mm.

One important exception is the D14 system. D14 uses a different mechanism and is designed specifically for the Voltre Chronograph. To make this clear, compatible straps are marked with “D14” in the strap name, so you can identify them easily. D14 straps should only be used with the Voltre Chronograph.

For other watches, you can also create your own combination by choosing a strap with the correct width, but keep in mind that the hardware, colors, and finishes may vary between models.
