VENTURE CHRONOGRAPH

Bought this as I was looking for a good quality ‘everyday’ watch which was easy to read (with actual numbers on the face) and a soft, leather strap.

It’s a nice looking watch, not particularly weighty though which results in a lower quality feel. My biggest surprise (gripe?) was that what I thought was a second hand is actually a timer hand, so doesn’t move unless it’s in use as a chronograph. The actual second hand is within the much smaller internal dial. Also, the date is pretty much unreadable it’s so small. The leather strap is actually vegetable tanned leather (whatever that is), so I’m not sure how long it will last before needing replaced. So at the sale price it’s a reasonable watch, but definitely not worth the advertised full price. Oh, and the illuminated hands/numbers isn’t great in the dark either. I have a (to be fair a good bit more expensive) Citizen watch which is super bright in the dark.
